Privacy First
The core release is designed so the words you type do not need to leave your browser.
Private by Default
The core release experience runs in your browser. This means:
- Your complaint is not sent to our server.
- The released text is discarded instead of being attached to its star.
- No account is required to use the release experience.
- An optional local history stores only a short preview in this browser.
Local Storage
We use your browser's local storage for preferences, streaks, achievements, mood history, and any local release preview you enable. You can clear it using your browser controls.
Analytics
We use minimal, privacy-focused analytics to understand how many people visit the site. We do not track individual users or collect personally identifiable information.
Optional Voice Input
When you tap the microphone, speech recognition is provided by your browser or device. Audio and speech may be processed by that provider under its own privacy terms. Complaint to the Void does not receive or store the audio. Recognised text is inserted into the writing field and handled like text you type. You can disable voice input in Settings or continue using the keyboard.
Information You Submit
Newsletter signups and community replies are sent to our services because they cannot work only in your browser. These actions are separate from releasing a complaint and are never required to use The Void.
